Founder and Pediatric Occupational Therapist

Meet Kandace

Office Manager

With over 25 years of experience as an occupational therapist, Mollie founded Coast Allied Health 12 years ago to create a supportive, team-centered environment for children and families. Mollie specializes in pediatric occupational therapy, utilizing an Ayres Sensory Integration (ASI) approach, providing comprehensive assessments, direct treatment, and parent education to help her clients thrive. Mollie began her career in New York, earning her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and working in a pediatric clinic for five years. After relocating to California, she pursued advanced training in ASI and earned her Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests (SIPT) certification at an internationally renowned pediatric clinic. Mollie’s dedication to professional growth led her to become a supervisor and acting liaison for the clinic’s occupational therapy internship program, bridging the gap between Masters and Doctoral level students and entry-level therapists. Beyond her clinical work, Mollie is passionate about providing opportunities for advancement in her profession. She has coordinated and sponsored numerous professional development opportunities for clinicians and offered caregiver trainings locally, often collaborating with community partners. Mollie stays current with evidence-based research and best practices, ensuring her clients receive the highest quality care. Mollie lives on California’s beautiful Central Coast with her husband, their amazing son, and their spunky wiener dog, Coco. She enjoys staying active, traveling, and watching sports with her family. Fun Fact: Mollie finds cooking to be therapeutic and loves to learn and cook Indian food with her mom. Ready to connect? Kandace joined Coast Allied Health in September of 2024. In a few short months, Kandace's warm and bubbly personality combined with her medical office experience launched her into the role of Office Manager. Often the first point of contact, Kandace always greets her receiver, whether it's a caregiver, provider, or other team member, with a caring and informative tone. Her empathetic and understanding nature is supportive and comforting to families during their journey at Coast Allied Health. Kandace lives in San Luis Obispo with her husband, daughter, son, and two Australian Shepards. One of Kandace's biggest passions is cooking for her friends and family. When not in the kitchen, Kandace is camping, at the beach/pool, or enjoying quality family/friend time. Fun Fact: despite having open heart surgery at just nine days old, Kandace continues to be active and health conscious every day!
